I am incredibly proud to share a major new milestone in my amateur radio journey. On June 10, 2026, I sat for the official Saudi Amateur Radio License examination. After weeks of preparation and hitting the books, I passed the exam with a score of 83.1%.
The regulatory process moved swiftly, and today, June 19, 2026, the Communications, Space and Technology Commission (CST) officially issued my new Saudi license. Moving forward, I will be operating under the callsign: 7Z1DX.
A Historic Milestone
Beyond the personal achievement, this license carries a special significance: I am deeply honored to become the first Bahraini to hold an official Saudi amateur radio callsign.
Expanding Horizons in the Kingdom
7Z1DX represents a major gateway for upcoming operating technical radio projects. Having official operating privileges in Saudi Arabia opens up incredible opportunities for field operations and specialized technical operations across the Kingdom’s unique geography.
